Hands of Hudson was founded by Christopher Hudson, a lifelong hands-on learner who began building practical skills at just three years old under the guidance of his father, Rayford Hudson III. That early foundation shaped Christopher’s belief that confidence, character, and work ethic are built when young people learn how to use their hands—and see what they’re capable of creating.

In 2015, after the passing of his father, Christopher committed to carrying forward his father’s legacy in a way that would serve the community. He launched Hands of Hudson as a tribute to Rayford Hudson III and as a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to passing down forgotten skills to the next generation through hands-on learning.

Today, Christopher leads Hands of Hudson as Executive Director, creating opportunities for youth ages 6–18 to learn tool knowledge, safety, and real-world skills through workshops, mentorship, and community service. His goal is simple: help young people discover their potential, strengthen their confidence, and build a future with purpose—one project at a time.
